Aleaf Studio
Aleaf is an artisan brand by Latina designer and crafter, Iraís. Her pieces, often inspired by nature, architecture and modern art are meticulously handcrafted and follow an intentional iterative design process. All pieces are made in small batches in
San Francisco's Mission District.
This truly is a one woman show! Iraís designs, crafts, vends and runs all aspects of her small business in her apartment studio. She seeks to do everything at the right pace, intentionally enjoying every aspect of the design process, crafting everything to be as good as possible instead of as fast as possible. Making each piece unique and functional.
Our works and processes have sustainable practices in mind. As a business and an individual we are mindful of our carbon footprint and aim to reduce our carbon footprint.

Meet Iraís
Founder | Designer
I am Iraís, the founder and designer of Aleaf. A Mexican-American multi-disciplinary artist who enjoys working with her hands, exploring different mediums, materials and styles. I love designing unique, functional statement pieces that help elevate the aesthetic value
of a room and/or outfit.
From a very young age, I discovered my passion for the arts. I was raised in Guadalajara, a colorful city in Mexico where art is found everywhere! My earliest memory dates back to when I was around 7 years old. I took an acrylic landscape painting class at a local cultural center that housed artists from all disciplines. Their studios played with my senses. I saw color, texture, movement; I heard tools, drilling, singing; I smelled clay, paint, glue. Everything all at once felt so strange, yet I felt like I belonged. Since then, I have gotten a degree in Landscape Architecture, and continue to explore design in all of its forms.
